Ring of Bright Water
" I loved this film with its ye old message on how to value the simple things in life, bird song, wide open spaces, living next to nature, freedom at its best, no mobile phone or booming car speakers to remind us that the world is becoming far too loud, too modern, too money grabing, and too crowded!
Be warned though this story is very sad ( bordering on Bambie ) and the get up and go there feeling... does linger on leaving a kind of hollow emptyness.
I never realised what a lovely rich voice the young Val Doonigan had in those early Decca recording days as he sings the title theme song Ring of Bright Water.
I have so far resisted the urge to go adopt an Otter...just. "
