With high-flying adventure and delightful charm, The Rescuers follows the courageous exploits of two brave mice to the marshy swamps of Devil's Bayou to rescue a missing orphan named Penny!
The excitement begins when Penny's bottled note for help lands in the hands of the shy but sly mouse Bernard and his glamorous partner Miss Bianca. This is a classic family film that appeals to the more mature amongst us. The theme of kidnapping is fairly adult and it doesn't have any of the power ballads found in many of the newer disney, but the characters are funny, the story strong and it has the 'good old' happy ending.
It is a definate must if you are buying the disney collection, as I am, or just because it's a nice film. The kids may complain about the good but old fashioned style of animation but I think it adds to the charm. This film also spurned one of the better sequals.

Yet like all of Walt Disneys films .......CLASSIC!!!!!!
Fantastic story. I bought it because i loved i when i was growing up and now i have children of my own i want them to enjoy it too.....and they do!!!!!

I rememeber this filmfrom when i was little and used to love it so brought it for mine. Great story line but could frighten smaller children about being kidnapped my son couldnt understand why the little girl was taken away. but as he gets older a fantastic disney classic again!

The Rescuers DVDI purchased this as I remembered watching it quite a few years ago, so knew it was a good film for children.
My children think it is fantastic, and I did not mind watching it again either.
It has a very good storyline that even very young children can understand, but best of all it is a film they will watch again and again.

We purchaced this as I had received a snow globe for my birthday with the mice inside of it. Curiosity took over then and we just had to purchace the DVD so we knew what it was about.
It has a simple story line and would be the kind of DVD you would want your children to watch I dont hae any down side to it at all.
