Actually I made a mistake, I really wanted the original version with Bernard Cribbins also with Jenny Agutter and Sally Thomsett as the children. The DVD was never the less ok, but in my opinion not a patch on the original, which I was subsequently able to get on video.

This is a classic remake of the original Railway Children - its a real joy to watch - espically for the younger members of your family.

i love this film because it is a great family film and great for all ages.I bought it because when i was a child i loved watching it,I know have a family of my own and we will have great times of watching it over and over again.

Remember the story from long ago and would like grandchildren to enjoy the new version. This is good value for money and sent very quickly

I love old classics and often buy the ones I enjoyed as a child for my children to watch. I liked the fact that people spoke nicely to each other in that time and children showed respect to their elders. I bought it as my daughter is in a stage version and so needed the DVD as a reference.

Most people who buy The Railway Children know what they are buying because they have seen it before. A warm hearted Edwardian story starring Jenny Agutter. However there are TWO versions of the Railway Children and Jenny Agutter appears in BOTH of them.

This is the remake version with Jenny Agutter as the mother, Richard Attenborough as the Old Gentleman and Rab C. Nesbitt as the Porter. Check the picture of the Video Cover carefully to make sure you get the version you expect.

However, both versions are excellent having similar storylines based on the book by Edith Nesbit.

A charming family film that keeps both adults and children entertained.great senery and period costume add to the enjoyment for all.

I bought this oroduct for my Mum for Mothers Day as The Railway Children is one of her favourite films and she only had the copy in video formay rather than up tp date dvd but as it turns out this was the sequel to the original film so I have since purchased from ebay the original version!

I bought this dvd as a present for my mum as it has the original people that plays in the tv film and it was very well filmed for both tv and dvd and it's a film all should watch they are no dislikes about the film.

WE DECIDED TO BUY THIS FILM FOR OUR SON, WHO IS A TRAIN FANATIC.
IT WAS A GREAT TRADITIONAL FAMILY FILM AND WELL WORTH THE MONEY
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!
