you can see how this follows on from kid a. similar feel but alot more random in its direction a lot of the time, which i actually quite love. as with all radiohead albums i recommend listening to the entire album a few times and you will start to like it :D good album but with the querkiness that is radiohead that alot of people may not like. this is not the bends or ok computer, but worth a listen. pyramid song is a great 7/4 chiller and worth listening to.

Bought this album from Music Dog For £12 back in June 2004. When I listened to it the first several hundred times I thought 'wtf.' The track which goes 'come come on if you think your hard enough,' the first minute of that song struck me how over inflated the ego of this band had was. The music is very inaccessible and way to leftfield to pick up on. The majority of people don't want to listen to anything that is dark to the nth degree (which is why alot of the top 40 goth band come out of Kerrang magazine) Just sounded like failed Indie formula number 5 to me (cause all the indie kids will strongly disagree with you).

How do you review an album like this?
First of all the track Pyramid Song I usually put on the jukebox - (It actually does not get switched off by the landlord/landlady/staff) - as it is the only Radiohead song on the Jukebox - Extremely melodic/mournful and wonderful.
I had not heard any of the other tracks before, but my favourite on two listenings is ... The final track : Life in a glasshouse.
This has a great jazzy feel to it and brings a difficult album to an end.
Radiohead are invariably a complicated band to sum up (other than depressing etc.etc.), but in general I find them uplifting!Perhaps that's just me.
Maybe this album will turn out to be a grower.I hope so.
Perhaps I will update this review if I this is the case.
OK Computer Rules OK! ... and Damien Rice O.

This album is a work of art. I do not care if people rave and rant about 'the bends' or 'Ok computer' being radiohead's best work. For my money, this is the album that will stand the test of time as the most 'ahead of it's time' piece of audio wizardry ever to hit your ears.
For those of you who are not convinced: take time out (you deserve it) sit down quietly somewhere with a drink of choice and lose yourself. I guarantee (so long as you give it a fair hearing in the correct state of mind) that you will truely be transported!
'Pyramid Song' alone is worth the asking price and still rates as one of my favourite tracks by any artist.

  The same but more so

More terrifying stream of conciousness music from Radiohead. Immediately easier to listen to than either Hail to the Thief or Amnesiac despite more ominous undertones in places. Perhaps this impression will fade with familiarity as I remember being similarly surprised on listening to Kid A. If you are into Radiohead then you will enjoy this album.

An amazing album, a fine piece and example of musical artistry, very ambient album, nice to listen to when waking up, melancholic but very very enjoyable. An amazing addition to my collection of Radiohead CDs.
