Queen - Sheer Heart Attack (CD 1998)

They are the best band in the world. I love all their vidoes and dvds they have ever made, their music will live on forever.

Some people say the first three albums of Queen were their best, and I totally agree. Sheer Heart Attack was their third studio album and equal to Queen 2 released the year before which is a master piece.
On this album the band are united, creative and buzzing which is captured in the first track 'Brighton Rock', great guitar and drums, the lyrics are also fun too.
You can really hear the quality of musicianship and amazing vocals which made Queen one of the best live bands of all time.
The whole album flows and never gets boring, all the tracks are defined with a certain quality that is unique too the band. From the epic ' Lap of the Gods' to the creative 'Flick of the wrist' this album is special for British music and why we stand head and shoulders above the US. Bring back Leroy Brown!!!!!!!

The first record i ever bought was Queen 2, That was it! even though i was seven i was hooked, as time went on birthday and christmas presents were Queen LP's. Sheer heart attack remains one of my favourite along side Queen1 Queen2 News of the world Innuendo, People view Queen as soft rock or pop This is the album that displays power and glory!! Queen were one of the very first bands to invent Heavy Metal Brighton rock still today puts so called Legends to shame was Led Zepplin ever as heavy as Stone Cold Crazy?. What Queen produced on this album is nothing short of phenomenal!! a mix of metal,Brighton Rock, Stone Cold Crazy, Rock Now Im Here, Flick of the wrist, Tenement funster, pop Misfire, Killer Queen Power ballad In the lap of the gods and the odd and delicate Lilly of the valley, So dear friends, Bring back leroy brown. this album is a must for anybody who has forgot that Queen Rock!!

This is to replace the album that I originaly brought in the seventies. All you need to say is Queen and you know you're going to get quality. The early albums are just the four members playing there hearts out establishing themselves as the most inivative bands of their time, every track is different but you know just by listening who you've got a Queen song.

By far the strongest Queen album as far as I'm concerned. I wouldn't consider myself a big Queen fan, but this ranks as one of my top ten albums of all time. The instrumentation and vocals are in the main flawless, with even the oddity "Bring Back That Leroy Brown" being performed with aplomb, which never ceases to make me smile. "In the Lap of the Gods...revisited" is one of the most underrated songs in the Queen back catalogue.

This album was released in the year before Queen were made famous. It contains some excellent tracks, including the superb Killer Queen. As a general fan of rock, this album would be a nice addition to the collection because it contains the brilliant extravagance of Brian May and his Red Special guitar. This is most prominant in the track Brighton Rock, where he performs a near 4 minute solo. It goes without saying though, that most of the tracks will be new to you. If you are a die-hard Queen fan on the other hand, get it!

Took me right back- been playing it in the car at full belt, singing along to all the songs; hadn't heard it since I stopped playing my vinyl about 20 years ago- was it really that long?.

Quality tunes- much more accessible (IMO) than Queen II.

Another one ticked off the "convert to CD list".
For anyone unfamiliar with Queen (there must be some out there) don't go out and buy their three Greatest Hits albums, well not straight away - wait til you're hooked. Between "Sheer Heart Attack" and "News of the World" you have every rip roaring rock track Queen are so rightly famous for. I would have to be completely non-committal if asked to choose between the two. Rarely have two back-to-back releases been so great for your listening pleasure.

Shher Heat Attack, being an early queen album (but obviously the most mature and grown up to date) is heavily influenced by legendiary artists such as Led Zeppelin et al;, and comprising of their strongest songwriting to date: Freddie's single "Killer Queen," won an Ivor Novello award. This projected the band forward to subsequent glories; despite their wearyingly but occasional desire to cover every possible stylistic base (such as ragtime "Bring Back That Leroy Brown"). When Queen bother to share their original, artistic rock roots ("Now I'm Here", "Brighton Rock"), few of their peers could attempt to or attain their strength - something that many critics choose to ignore.

What a fantastic album, one of Queens best, My favourite track is Brighton Rock,that's exactly what it does, and not only Brighton !! With Mays outstanding guitar and Freddies vocals this track takes you anywhere you want to be
