Great cd. Nobody can replace Freddie but as a rock album this really does rock. I agree they maybe should have dropped the queen name as there are only two of them left but this doesn't alter a great cd.

Queen - The Cosmos Rocks, - but it isn't the same :(
Review created: 03/01/09

I was lucky enough to win this album (and tickets to the Queen Tour with Paul Rodgers) but a listen of the album, actually stopped me going to the concert.

I think, as a teen, and loving Freddie, listening to a band trying to be the Queen of old, doesn't work. I can not dispute their talent, and if Brian May et al, had formed a band with Paul Rodgers and called it anything over than Queen with Paul Rodgers, I probably would have loved it.

Freddie was intrinsic to Queen, so if you want to listen to Queen of old, then this album will prickle (a second listen - hmmm still undecided) - but as a rock band, and a stadium one, yes, I suppose, But I would rather listen to other items in my collection

I have rated this as average - as its not poor, and the band is very very good, but trading on the Queen Name, sadly means this is not excellent. A certain spark is missing, and its not all Freddie, I would imagine as a band its difficult without your friend and original singer, but, I did not like this album and what it is.

Hope that helps?
Suz xxx
