The Pursuit Of Happyness/Big Daddy/About A Boy (DVD)

The Pursuit of Happyness is a heart warming film to watch, but it is a long story arc, and very slow. It is all the more amazing in that it is based on a true story.
Will Smith plays his character well, as always, as he tries to learn the ropes to be a money man, but has to do his training without pay!

Big Daddy stars Adam Sandler who is a layabout loaf (why does he always play such characters!?). His friend, who is getting married, turns out to have an unknown child. When the child is dumped at Adam Sandlers door, he pretends to be his friend, so the child is left with him.
In the end it is a heart warming story.

About a Boy stars Hugh Grant as an a lonely male who lives of his father royalties from writing one song years ago. He finds a new way of meeting women is at baby groups, so pretends to be a single dad. Through this he gets to know a young boy, whose single mum is a manic depressive.
A good film, but the laughs are few and far between because of the subject matter of the film.
