A classic. The return of John Travolta !!!

This film had so many fantastic phrases and lines that it is worth watching it just for them !!!

Samuel L Jackson, Harvey 'The Cleaner' Keitel and Bruce Willis were all excellent in this violent, all action film.

It is always fantastic when you see so many great actors on the screen in one film !!!

This is a must see film !!!

By far his finest hour, film geek Tarantino's follow-up to his cult hit 'Reservoir Dogs', 'Pulp Fiction' is a hard hitting, brutally aggressive movie with an occasional comical flare, that looks at a day in the life of several characters that intertwine with each other to create a profane fiasco. With a snazzy script that stands high above other blockbuster premises, the cast is headed off by Samuel L. Jackson, John Travolta and Bruce Willis, playing the parts of two hit men and a boxer respectively. Set into three segments, the three stories all involve each other, whether only as a passerby or in a main role, the star-studded cast, including the likes of Harvey Keitel, Uma Thurman, Christopher Walken, Eric Stoltz and British actor Tim Roth, who all agreed to work for a smaller pay-packet while acting in this film, excel in their own unique way to make this a very enjoyable viewing that you wouldn't mind seeing again once you've finished. Jackson and Travolta play the two hit men Jules Winnfield and Vincent Vega, sent by their boss Marsellus Wallace to reclaim a package from some underage associates. As you can guess this ends up in a blood bath, but the closing sequence of the scene is postponed to one of the closing scenes, where another incident is carried along, this time with the inclusion of how to mop-up brain once it's spilt across your back-seat. With a story that sways from Divine intervention to male rape, you will never know what the next minute holds in store. Tarantino's marvelous soundtrack is again a collection of classic sixties and seventies hits, some known, some not. Missed out in the 1994 Oscars, when Best Picture was awarded to Forrest Gump, starring Tom Hanks, this still remains a modern classic that holds all the hallmarks of becoming a legend. Followed in 1997 with Jackie Brown, starring Blaxploitation honey, Pam Grier. Finally on a 2-DVD collector's package, this is an absolute must! The Tarantino Fiction documentary is very intriguing while the Charlie Rose Show footage is great for any film buff or lover of the Director. The deleted scenes are cool, but two were already available on the Collectors edition video release. A worthy edition to anyone's library.

CLASSIC FILMS THAT MAKE AN ERA

Pulp Fiction has got to be a classic of our time. Its not a film that you will either love or hate. You WILL love it. Even if you dont agree with the guns, shooting, drugs and bad language, you can't help but sit back in awe of how Quentin Tarantino has put this film seemlessly together. An all star cast help bring together a brilliant story in L.A's criminal underground. Also has a quality soundtrack creating a provocative atmosphere throughout. I bought this DVD as I had it on VHS Cassette and wanted something which will last a little bit longer. This DVD wont be one that I'll be reselling - its one I will watch again and again. What did I NOT like about this film? Nothing. Everything about this film is excellent.

A brilliant movie, utterly entertaining, dark humour, and violence. Tarantino never fails to deliver. Brilliant performances from all the cast. If you have not seen this movie then this has to be on the top of your list.

What a cast! Travolta, Jackson, Willis, Keitel. Superb!

When you buy, as opposed to rent, a DVD, one must ask oneself "Is this a film that I will want to watch again and again"? The answer with this masterpiece is YES!

Is it violent? Definitely. Is the language offensive? Undoubtedly. Would you be comfortable watching it in the company of your maiden aunt? Assuredly not!
But this is assuredly one of those 'films to see before I die'. There is a complex plot of multiple interweaved storylines but the unrelenting scenes of violence are somehow softened by the frequent humourous episodes which continually recur. Watch the film again and you will see aspects which you missed the first time.

It is enlightening to observe a master film maker exhibiting his craft. A standard technique to inject pace into a script is to edit with frequent rapid cuts. How does Tarantino achieve such a pacy film when he uses frequent long uncut takes from a static camera? I think I shall have to watch this masterpiece again...........

What would you do if you had a dead man in the back of your car? A girl overdosing in your passenger seat? Or a hitman staring you in the eye whilst reciting the Bible?
If you like crisp dialogue, gangster cool and an intelligent story, Pulp Fiction has your answers.

Tarrantino took 90s cinema in a new direction with Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs. It's fast and furious, but doesn't just hang on violence. It has a lot, lot more.

The first thing that stands out for me is dialogue. There're some great lines that you can't resist quoting at dinner parties.

The second thing is an interesting story line. There are three stories in all. Tarrantino admits they're nothing new, but it's the way these stories hang together that works so well. The film moves back and forth in time, making you work just hard enough to pull all the pieces together. You'll switch off the tele and think about it whilst laying in bed trying to sleep, no doubt.

If you've seen the film already - and I guess most of you have - the 2CD draw is probably what you're most interested in. Well, let me tell you, the second CD is worth your money. I think.

There are interviews with some of the stars, a making of.... there are Tarrantino interviews too - albeit on annoying American chat shows. The most interesting thing perhaps is an interview with John Travolta. Caught before his 'second coming', it's interesting to see him before his more recent multi-million pound films. Not only did he not look 'shy of a kebab', he also sounds genuinely grateful for Tarrantino sticking by him for the film. Aww!

So, in short, if you like fast moving, crisp and intellent films, go Pulp. "I'm sorry, did I spoil your concentration?!"

  Truly a modern classic

I was introduced to this film by a friend in 1996. He described it as one of the best movies he had ever seen and naturally, his enthusiasm encouraged me to hire the film on vhs. He didn't give any of the plot away, just gave me the advice that whilst watching it, remember that although films have got to have a begining, middle and end, they don't nessesarily have to be in that order. The way the plot inter-weaves around itself is very clever and the all-star cast deliver 5 star performances, superbly directed by the gifted Quentin Tarantino. The chance to own this movie on dvd was just too good to miss. Enjoy!

This is a classic 100% must see movie. The first time I saw it I decided right off I had to buy it when it came on video, but DVD 2 disc limited edition called me.. and I had to respond. I loved Reservior dogs when it was released, so it was a no brainer to give Pulp a view, and its GOT to be in my top 10 all time fav's now. Tarantino is amazingly dark throughout, the newly weds scene is a CLASSIC, as is Travolta/Thurman dance in the diner! Wonder what a $5 shake tastes like!!

I cant recommend this enough, but dont really have to as we've all seen this movie, and to anyone who hasnt, get the 2 disc like I did on ebay.. the extra's are MUST SEE!!!
