greats hits of proclaimers
Review created: 04/05/09(updated 05/05/09)

This album is brill, 20 tunes mainly acoustic/folky, by Craig and Charlie Reid, some funny, some deep , some affectionately about football they are well know fans of Hibernian , lol, also 'Throw The R Away' about the jibes they took as children for having a thick Scottish dialect.
The debut hit song from 1987 'Letter From America' is featured, and fans of the film Shrek will recognise the chirpy tune 'I'm on my way', and seems the world and his brother knows 'I'm Gonna Be (500 miles)'. As they get a bit political and talk about indepenndant Scotland in 'Cap In Hand ', first snogs in 'Oh Jean', Christianity in 'Lord I want to be a Christian' I could never work out if that was a pisstake or they really did...lol jovial marriage proposal given in 'Lets Get Married' and being dumped but a mans perspective in 'What makes you Cry' always cracks me up laughing at the lyrics
"Can't you see that I'm hurting
How I'm falling apart
Don't you care about my drinking
Or my poor lonely heart
I thought you liked football
You didn't mind those videos
And my dog didn't mean
To ruin your clothes (he can't help it) "
lol
Albums a winner! Unlike Hibs lol
