Prime Suspect - Complete Collection (DVD)

I love the fact that this is the entire collection from start to end. Helen Mirren as Jane Tennyson is fantastic and it's great to sit down and just watch with a cuppa on a Saturday afternoon!

I purchased this because i wanted to watch and enjoy at my leisure,
this is quality film,which can be enjoyed over and over again.
I put this in the same league as Inspector Morse.

I bought this as it is a great series and it is very good for suspense , and is a very crime thriller series. Recommend to anyone.

Bought the whole set (10 discs) cheaply. All discs are subtitled which is great. Stories, characters and plotlines are all easy to follow. Helen Mirren links all the discs and is excellent as usual portraying a hard nosed detective battling sexism and ageism within the police force, and alcoholism, family ties and dodgy lovelife in her personal life. Quite superb and highly recommended.

This is a series that needs getting used to. But once you've watch the 1st one you are hooked. The only problem is that the "episodes" are very long. At least 3 and a half hours each. We watch it over 3 nights. It tends to move very slow at times and the break is then well needed.
Typical British police series with a women - Helen Mirren- in the lead. Nice to see female touches to a usually very stern topic.Good- and necessary!- undertones of strife between male and female.
