It's sort of O.K.-ish.

Well I'd been nosing around for while and I wanted to try a a cheapie again after buying a Fujifilm DX-7 some years ago. The Fuji is less than one million pixels, so I thought that the Praktika Digicam 3 would be tons better.
Well it isn't! Fuji colour is "on the money". Praktika is more wishy-washy, certainly on the low quality setting - 1600 x 1200.
We have found that it does take reasonable shots when using the high quality setting (2400 x 1800). Outdoors it's not too bad - but there really are light problems when using indoors.
The camera is light and easy to use and we do seem to get quite a lot of shots out of one charge of batteries. Also I guess that even with the world's best camera some shots do turn out to be a bit cruddy.
The software that came with camera is fab - truly fab and the pictures download in seconds - thus preserving battery life.
So it's cheap and cheerful. But you can only take 6 shots with the high quality setting so you will need a memory card to make best use of this camera. A card reader is also essential if you are going to down load hundreds of shots.
We got our little Praktika for £15. At that price I suppose I can't grumble, although I do seem to don't I?.
Don't expect every shot to be a stunner - but some will be.
