This DVD was a bit of a disappointment. It fell into the same format as the Fox Guide to Fishing DVD's and probably many others. A very brief overview of suitable rod and reel. Showing a few set ups, ledger and laying-on with a float. A section on baits with some ideas on presentation [popping up]. Most of it is watching Mick pull in fish and how to unhook. At the very start he mentions he has plumbed the pit but doesn't show you how to do it and why he is doing it? I would love to see a DVD that concentrated more on fish location i.e finding features below the surface as this probably influences what swims to fish; no point having great tackle, the best rigs and baits if there are no fish in the swim. More details of rigs and how to make them. The Fox guide did attemt to show this more than Mick's DVD but i couldn't make out any details, the camera was just a little too far away for my liking. I was hoping this DVD would cover things I didn't know. I have seen drifter floats but no rigs that you use for this type of fishing, What depth to fish at? Especially if the contours are changing! and the way the bait is hooked for drifter fishing as if i do it conventionally the bait will hang down un-naturally. Showing how to cut hooks out of a deep hooked fish and more of the unusual situations you can encounter and how to cope with them. There is nothing new in the DVD to make it stand out from the crowd and at just an hour or so long wasn't nearly long enough for the money if you were buying it. Sorry Mick - just an average run of the mill effort -shame!
