In my opinion this is one of the top 5 albums of 2007. All 12 songs are a great example of fast and furious indie rock. If you love Arctic Monkeys then I recommend you to buy this very good album by the Pigeon Detectives.

If your music tastes include either Brit Pop or Punk then I highly recommend that you at least listen to this cd.
Prior to purchasing their first album I saw the Pigeon Detectives perform at two televised music festivals this year. (eg Glastonbury and T in the Park)
They are a really enthusiastic band. Full of enormous amounts of energy who really interact with the crowd.

) Bought the album a few weeks before going to see them live, and to be honest live is how you need to hear and see this band.
The lead singer is a real showman and totally carries the show, although musically they're spot on too.
The album itself is pretty good, there aren't any duff tracks although as it's a short album that's just as well. However, it doesn't "hang together" the way a really good album should; there's no light and shade to counter the attack of the tracks. Maybe as they mature as a band this will come, but this album doesn't make you want to listen again in the way that "We'll live and die in these towns" by the Enemy does.
So, pretty good but room for improvement! I give it 7 out of 10.

Pigeon Detectives
) The Pigeon Detectives are one of the UK's up and comming bands. Heard about them through my photography links and thought wow. They will be big very soon. The style is indi and is very catchy. The UK still produce quality bands with their own music not just cover versions. Check them out now or be last in the que for this great band. As for the cd 'Wait for me', it is surly the best 12 songs I have heard in ages.

From start to finish this album lifts you up with its catchy tunes and brilliant lyrics, up there with The Enemy "We'll Live A Die In These Towns" as the best album of 2007!

Pigeon Detectives - CD - Wait For MeThe debut album by the Pigeon Detectives. I'd heard 2 of their songs and wanted to hear more - and I wasn't diappointed. A fast-paced album that is extremely catchy with only bad point being that it's too short!
Can't wait for the follow-up album and the tour (I'm going to see them in June and can't wait!)

truly greatNow this is a great album that is probably my second favourate album after the Arctic Monkeys Whatever people say i am thats what i'm not (quality). ye anywayz all are great tunes my favourate has to be Romantic type lol!

Heard of this band last year in NME but didn't think anything of it. Then I heard them on NME Chart Show with the summery hit "Take Her Back". I went off and downloaded the album straight away!
This is defo for fans of The Kooks, The Cribs, and other indie bands. My new fave band, and value for my money!!

I bought this CD after sampling several songs off Itunes and i noticed they sold at at the carling academy 2 in birmingham.
I wasnt expecting huge things but I was surprised. I end up feeling that only 3 of the 12 songs dissapoint. Some of my favorites being "i found out" and "romantic type" both bringing a sense of alternative & punk feel, as well as an indie sound. This album will appeal to many.
I do however feel that many will be dissapointed with the album compared to other hit indie groups such as the klaxons.
All in all, i believe this is a good debut album, but lacking in possible "number 1" hit songs.
