A journey around the UK visiting landscapes which have inspired various famous (and no-so-famous) artists over the centuries.
Although I personally think that NO painting can do justice to our wonderful countryside, the dialogue is informative, interesting and humourous.

) I decided to but this a wedding anniversary present for some Australian friends who love Britain and live in Australia. They were delighted with it as it presents Britain at its best with scenic touring and an interesting narrative, linking poetry, writing and artists and paintings linked with the British scene.

A Picture of BritainI had Watched this Programme on the tele and thought it was fabulous, but I missed some of the series ans decided to see if I could get it on ebay. I can honestly say I thought it was very good. On this Video there are lots of things you just don't know about Britain. I would really recomend this D.V.D.

This series is simply a charmer - as Dimbleby takes his Landrover around Britain's countryside and looks at the art that it shaped. It is very personal and often anecdotal, but the account is so compelling that you feel you are in the journey with him - informative, sometimes quite humourous but always fantastically filmed. 5 stars to the BBC
