Phoenix Nights (DVD 2002)

Phoenix Nights is wickedly observant comedy. A fly on the wall style mockumentary of Bolton would be club entrepreneur Brian Potter, played awesomely by Kay, and his band of misfits trying to make their mark on Northern clubland. Originally based on a one off episode of 'Peter Kay presents....' Phoenix Nights never misses a beat. Quality belly laugh comedy all the way through. There are far too many classic moments or quotes to begin mentioning here. But safe to say the DVD compilation of the complete first series (or the second series or the box set of the two that is now available) is a definate must see and will not dissapoint.

i bought this item becuz i love peter kay. He is very funny. I chose this item becuz it was cheap and looked in good condition.

One of the most funny comedies ever,there is nothing to dislike about it.

i have wanted this dvd for a long time i like peter kay. this will make you laugh alot at the thing they say and the things they get up to. there is nothing i dislike about this dvd i would defiantly tell you to buy this.

This is a comedy classic. To be watched & enjoyed over & over again.The joy is in the subtle humour & attention to detail.The script is fabulous & the casting is superb.

This DVD is so good and funny. DVD was on a buy it now bargin price so i had to have it as i miss the this first tv series but saw the second series.

Seen the series on tv a while ago so got a copy to watch again.Peter Kay is so funny as the club owner with his dry sense of humor.Really enjoyable.Fell about laughing.Great comedy at its best.

love peter kay so had to buy this dvd , got two now and will buy more, funny guy a must for all ages my sons like him too

Overall the individual programmes were slow, the humour was limited and did not make us laugh once!

We loved Peter Kay in concert but his acting ability is very limited! Not to be recommended.

Peter Kay crashed onto the screens with this series and established himself as one of the modern living greats in comedy full of one line jems you can watch this over and over and still find new laughs. If you havent seen this then get it now !!!!

I missed the series when it was on the television and have borrowed the DVD from family I wanted to own it for myself because I think it is Peter Kays very best work and the funniest series ever screened I also now have series two as well.
