Phoenix Nights 2 (DVD 2003)

Is it better than the first series.... no.... it is just as good. Just like fawlty towers before it this is a second series of 6 episodes of Genius, like the first series.

My favourite is without doubt the Family Fun Day, when Brian (and new owner of club Jerry) and their gang of hapless workers put on a Family Fun Day to raise money for the club which was burnt down at the end of Series 1 by the dastardly Den Perry. The inflatable cock and balls... sorry sammy the snake. Jerry as a Berry, Brian Potters converted portable toilets for the children to play in. The lines "Have you swept that cock up yet?" "I am standing here looking like a gay satan because somebody sold me clothes on jumble sale".

There are many other memorable moments, such as a song about bin bags, brian stuck on a chair lift, Brian's appearance on Crimetime and loads more.

It is not everybody's cup of tea but for fans of Peter Kay if you don't own this already then buy a copy.

The episodes continue the hilarious saga of the wheelchair bound Potter (Peter Kay) and his ongoing attempt to make a success of the Phoenix Club in numerous multi-roled characterizations. As this DVD continues the story, viewers will gain maximum enjoyment if they have watched DVD 1 first. A point worth considering if the DVD is to be a gift.

Peter Kay tells few jokes but excels in this tour de force of observational comedy which is particularly suitable for family viewing. The episodes will stand re-viewing which makes a purchase particularly good value for money. You will chuckle throughout with the occasional belly laugh.

phoenix nights 2 is a future classic and very funny and a must for and fan of stars of it eg Dave Spikey Patrick Mcguiness and the one and only Peter Kay every episode give different aspects of what goes on within clubland and had already whatched it on channel 4 and pissed myself laughing at every episode

This is a fabulous series, even better than the first. Great characters and performances throughout make it hugely enjoyable. There's no spite or nastiness, very little cynicism - it's just straightforwardly funny and enjoyable.

I liked it because i have always had an inerest in comady but i had never a ctually seen it before but it is always good to try out new things.

i decided to buy it because i thought i should take a risk but! that does'nt mean you should always take risks if you can you should see if you can get a review like this to tell you if it is worth it.
And like i said i am a very big fan of comady then again arnt we all.

To be trufel i totally loved it there was nothing i disliked about it(apart from the fact of that it was quit short but that is not the sellers fault.

Very funny, original and well acted. Loved the characters, and bought it because I couldn't wait to get to series 2 after series 1. Wish there was a third series.

I did have this dvd before but it was misplaced so had to buy it again as its hilarious. I love Peter Kay and knew i would get a fantastic deal on ebay.

i have wanted this dvd for a long time i like peter kay. this will make you laugh alot at the thing they say and the things they get up to. there is nothing i dislike about this dvd i would defiantly tell you to buy this.

I bought it, as I have series one, which is absolutely hilarious, as is the second series. The only problem is, it leaves you wanting more, and sadly, there isnt anymore :(
