Phoenix Gold Octane-R 5.0:4 Car Amp

Phoenix Gold is one of the many American companies dedicated to the manufacture of high quality amplifiers and other ICE components, so obviously they have to be good otherwise they go out of business. Many of the Japanese ICE manufacturers are involved in all sorts of other products (Kenwood make smoothie makers for example) so I prefer to but from a specialist. I have owned other Phoenix Gold gear in the past, including the up-market ZeroPointFive amplifier (delivering over 1000 watts rms at 4 ohms), the Titanium Elite 6.5 component speakers, and at the time of writing I use a Phoenix Gold Ti12D Elite 2000 watt subwoofer, without doubt one of the best subs ever made. The Phoenix Gold Octane-R 5.0:4 is one of their more modest offerings but it still has that PG sound: punchy, strong and great for all kinds of music. It's well made, durable and reliable too. Must give it a 5-star rating for value for money.
