Philips NT9110 Nasal/Ear Trimmer

At the age of seventy, I have owned several nasal hair trimmers ranging from cheap to quite expensive ... All have worked but with problems such as pulling hairs and nipping the skin ... Both these faults are ''eye-watering'' experiences and better avoided if possible ... I also use a tiny non-battery trimmer which is easier to carry on holidays etc ... This has no disadvantages other than the fact that it takes a couple of minutes to complete its task ...

The Philips NT9110 is the best battery-powered nasal-hair trimmer that I have used so far ... It carries out its job in a pain-free manner and in literally a few seconds ... It can be washed after use which is obviously better for hygene ... It comes with two clip-on combs to enable you to trim the eyebrows to either 3mm or 5mm if needed ... A small cleaning brush also the single AA battery is provided ... A clip-on cover is provided to protect the cutting blades ... The cutting blades are not replaceable, so in the event of damage the whole unit must be replaced which is a shame ... Obviously it is an advantage to be able to protect the cutting edge with the clip-on transparent cover which clicks nicely into place ...

I've tried most trimmers on the market from Chinese £1.00 jobs to wahl etc. This is the best of the bunch but still far from perfect. Leaves hairs intact but is very comfortable to use

It's portable, super useful and waterproof. Works like a charm. I decided to buy it because i started having a nasal problem. The price was right so I gave it a go. It's not a no-name trimmer, comes with a 2-year guarantee and has everything included, even a battery.

Have used a remington with a rotary head for about ten years and only got the Philips when that gave up the ghost. So far I am pretty pleased with it. The remington had a rotary cutter at the end of the trimmer which was so-so at cutting longer hairs. The Philips is rather different with the cutting area on the side. I guess that this improves the inherent safety of it but it is no impediment to cutting hairs on the outside of my ears - much easier than with the rotary. Philips is also great at getting into the corner of my nostril, bette than the rotary. Also like the attachments to enable you to trim eyebrows - should you wish.
I note that the instructions are very explicit that you should wash out after use. I have done so and it might be this that keeps the machine in good order. Overall do not be put off by seeing the cutting area on the side. It is no bar to effective performance!
