Philips HS8020 Electric Shaver

Surprisingly the 'Coolskin' is not a gimmick, it actually works!

The shaver has a small container that you pre-load with approx 8 to 9 shaves worth of lotion. As you shave the unit has a button which when pressed dispenses the lotion from the middle of 2 rotary units onto your skin.

It takes a few shaves to get used to using the new shaver but once you have it is a direct replacement to the traditional wet shave, and quicker too.

The shaver can be used in the shower and is easy to clean and maintain.

Battery life is ok and it is rated in the manual at 30 minutes although I cant say for sure as I haven't timed it. (who would?!?) It comes with a charging dock and a cleaning brush. Mine also came with a can of coolskin lotion.

A good mid priced shaver.

Never buy anything from this seller as he does not communicate with the buyer at all. I have tried to contact this seller several times but he did not replyt all. I had to report him to paypal.

Most eBay sellers are selling these for £46-£70, yet at least two online shops have them for less (14 Aug 2008) Amazon have them for £43.

I wanted to change my old shaving system and I like that idea to shave in a shower.I used to use a two head shaver from Philips,but it was quite old and it needed replacement.

The lack of lift and cut system and double blades seems to be a disadvantage. The only plus for this shaver is the waterproof operation. Nivea's moisture system is not very satisfactory compared to the price of reffil.

This a fantastic product, ergonmic and light to hold also easy to use.Its 3 floating heads and nivea soothing cream system work perfectly coping with the contours of the face.It removed my 3 day old tough stubble with remarkable ease giving a close clean smooth shave, almost as good as a wet shave.Cleaning is easy to as the shaving unit is waterproof just run it under the hot tap for 30 seconds and its clean. As this is waterproof it can even be used to shave in the shower. Can't recommend this philips shaver enough.. buy one you won't be disappointed!

I bought this for hubby to use in the shower and it gives a very smooth shave - just like the effects of a wet shave only with the added bonus of a moisturising gel incorporated into the shaver, with just a press of a button it secretes a small amount onto the skin. The three rotating heads capture even the most stubborn hairs - hubby loves it!

It does what it is supposed to do and I have used shaving cream, pre shave cream and also used it in the shower all of which gave me a close shave. I find this product very good , however I dont think its built to last.

I always buy Phillips shavers for their reliability, and this shaver is no different and is even better than my last model.I bought off e-bay because the Buy it Now price was a lot cheaper than in the shops and there is nothing that I dislike about it so I am extremely pleased.

IT IS MORE QUIET THAN OTHER MODELS AND IT IS WATERPROOF. PORTABILITY IS A PLUS AS WELL. IT IS ALSO CHEAPER THAN HERE IN GREECE.

I already own one of these but the charging unit was broken and it makes more sense to buy a new shaver with charger than a replacemenr charger
