The morning begins for me now with the fresh zing of 4 little apples and an unwaxed lemon juiced together. I'm buzzing!
You can buy class 2 fruit (lumpy apples, mishapen pears) and make a class one drink that isn't pasteurised and is utterly fresh. The 700W motor extracts a lot of juice - the pulp produced is really dry - and although it emits more than a low hum, it's not as noisy as a coffee grinder.
Yuu can experiment with your favourite flavours or find recipes on the web - there are loads of combinations that others have tried and can recommend.
OK, it's a bit of a bore to wash the thing, but it is dishwasher safe if you are feeling lazy. I use mine at least twice a day, so I hand wash it quickly after I've used it.
The machine takes up about as much space on the worktop as a small microwave and it would be rather fiddly putting it away and heaving it out again to use it, so I leave mine out.
I'm really glad I bought this juicer, and I'm looking forward to long drinks (melon, ginger and champagne anyone?) in the summer.
