Juice good at juicing as the philips 1858 & 1861 models
I have a relative with the new Philips Alu 1861 model and so was able to complare these juicers. The dryness of the pulp and amount of juice from both models was the same. The difference in the 1851 is that you have to cut up some fruit and veg to get it to fit down the smaller chute and it makes more noise that the 1861. It has a 500w motor.
As I managed to buy the 1851 for £20 I was quite happy to put up with these two minor inconveniences and save myself at least £50 buy not buying the 1861.
The 1851 was the juicer that Jason Vale Juicemaster used to recommend before the newer models arrived on the scene. I found it very easy to clean and to take apart and put together. I use it every day.
If money is no object the Philips 1861 Alu is fantastic, it you want to save yourself a few bob the 1851 is more than enough. The juice that comes out is the same quality. This is a great juicer!
