Philips DVP3020 DVD Player

This DVD player is brilliant, cheap, low profile, easy to use and looks fantastic with its chrome mirrored front. I bought this because my old DVD player was running out of steam, it arrived quickly, i hooked it up as soon as it arrived and tried a disc out as soon as i could, the picture quality it puts through is fantastic, the surround sound controller works like a charm and it matches the rest of my electricals in the room.
If anyone is looking for a good quality DVD Player for under £30 i highly recommend this.

Another thing is has going for it is the ease at which the region code can be taken off, as i have over 300 DVDs at least half of this are Region 1 (i watch alot of imported japanese animation and american stuff) i was suprised at how simple the procedure to unlock the machine was, as in the past it has taken me up to half an hour to unlock the decoder on some models.

The only downside is the footprint of the unit, as it is not quite big enough to fit a normal Tube TV on top, but looks too big for a normal LCD tv to stand on top of, but when its in the TV cabinet you can't tell, all ytou can see is the gleaming chrome finish front panel and its easy to read Green LCD display
