The Phantom Of The Opera (DVD)

This is the best film in the world !

It had a lot to live upto with everybodies expectations about it, but it acheieved them - and many many more.

The costumes are superb, the scenery is breath taking and the cast are perfect.

This is truly a fairy tale film.

Emmy is super - at only 16 with a voice like that - wow !

I can't talk highly enough of this, as it is just the best film I think I have EVER seen and i'm taking a film course at uni, buy it, watch it, love it then watch it again !

I adore The Phantom Of The Opera. The music in it is incredible and the actors are simly fantastic!. My favourite is the Phantom i went to see it in the west end and the DVD is just as good!. Highly recommened, AWESOME!!

An excellent adaptation of the greatest Andrew Lloyd Webber play. This dvd is great and the costumes / background screens ar fab.... a must see by old and young alike !!

i love this film but got sick off my step daughter borrowing it so bought another copy for her........we love it even my 11 yr old son love it.

Saw the film on TV a couple of years ago - went to see the show in London last
week and relasied what a good job they had made of the film.
Would recommend you get the film anyway but especially before you see the show.

I love the music! The film is a great adaptation of the theatre production! I bought it because I want to watch it again!

Excellent movie, but unfortunately the HD DVD version has a very low audio level, so you have to turn up your amp/TV very high to get acceptable volume. (This is definitely the disc at fault, not my setup, as I even tried it on a friend's system with the same results). The picture quality, however, is brilliant. All in all, I am very pleased to have this in my collection, I just wish Warner had spent a little time getting the volume levels right.

Having seen and very much enjoyed the Stage production of Phantom I was curious to see how the film would measure up. I was delighted to find that the film production did not disappoint. The music was fantastic and the film rather magical. A treat for all Phantom fans!

I've seen this film many times, and I fell in love with it from the start! Whether you've seen the stage production or not, you will be pleased about what they have managed to achieve. Naturally I was pleased when I had the chance to get a special 2 disc edition, there are plenty of interesting parts of the second disc (the one with the extras).

I was intrigued by the 'The Making of...' section as I normally find them pointless and boring, however this time it was exciting to know about how it was made and how they decided on who should get which part to play.

I would recommend this to anyone who likes musicals, but even if you don't still give it a chance. It is classed as a gothic romance. If you've seen it before (and liked it) you'll be very pleased with the 2 disc edition.

Fantastic version of this great musical. Minnie Driver's portrayal of Carlotta is funny and lighthearted without detracting from the drama. Some of the best voices to ever perform this timeless classic. Highly recommended.
If you like Phantom, you'll love this!

i have never really watched this but my partner is always going on at me to watch it cus its one of his favs an as he is only 24 i find it hard to belive lol.

Dearer to buy in shops yet better value for money on EBay for exactly the same item. A pleasure to listen to in the home or especially the car.

My husband is taking me to see the musical in London, so I wanted to see the film to get to know the songs and the storyline. My husband was a bit sceptical about watching the film but we were both pleasantly surprised with how gripping the storyline was and how many songs we already knew. The main characters are very believable and the party and opera scenes are truly breathtaking. I recommend this to all, if you have seen the stage musical or not.

This is an amazing film with amazing characters, voices, actors, actresses, the lot!
The songs are magical and its such a wonderful story. I had to download the soundtrack it was so good.
Also, there aren't as many extra special effects in it, unlike other films. This just shows how good a film can be without all the computer stuff.

Saw the film first at cinema. Been looking to purchase it for a while. Spotted it on ebay and bought it.
