Pet Shop Boys - Discography (The Complete Singles Collection) (CD 2005)

The Pet Shop Boys had an enormous string of hits during the 80s and early 90s, especially in the UK. This album collects them all. While most compilations leave out essential hits to make you buy the original albums (Dire Straits, Prince, U2 and Simple Minds come to mind) this album has them all (OK, "How Can You Expect To Be Taken Seriously" is missing). From the first single "West end Girls" on all the hits are here. High points include "Suburbia" , "Heart", "Always on my Mind" and "Left to my own Devices". 80s music was partly shaped by these guys. For longer versions/remixes check out "Disco", which includes very long remixes of "West end Girls", "Suburbia", "Opportunities", "Love Comes Quickly" and the in 1995 remixed b-side "Paninaro". "Introspective" includes a strong techno-oriented remix of "Always on My Mind" and long versions of "It's Alright", "Domino Dancing" and "Left to my own devices"

Good album featuring most of their hits. I forgot how good these guys were. Bet you can't listen to it without joining in...a must to add to a cd collection.

The best of PSB up to 1991. If you just want to listen to their early hits then this is the CD for you. If your into them in a big way (then you already have this) it is a must. For later hits see 'PopArt'.

If you haven't listened to The Pet Shop Boys for many a year then try this album! The first single I ever bought was West End Girls, 79p paid for with my pocket money! The Pet Shop Boys have gone on to have loads of hits including, Opportunities, Suburbia, Its a sin, What have I done to deserve this! Once you have heard them again you will wonder why you didnt have this album in your collection already, a trip down memory lane does us all good and this is one of The BEST trips of all. What a great album. I have recently inherited a 1st Generation Apple ipod from my son and I was looking for music to download onto it. The name 'Pet Shop Boys' came to mind and I bought this CD from e-bay. Not being in the first flush of youth this was my sort of music during my youth. However I did not find that it had dated at all and I found my youngest son, who had laughed at me for buying, listening to it when I was out. I think it would appeal to all ages as it is feel-good music to sing along to as we supposedly sink into a recession. The Pet Shop Boys are akin to Abba. Cheesey music but everybody knows their songs even if they do not realise it. I can't really fault it at all.

I have been a great Pet Shops Boys fan/addict from the start of their careers with West End Girls.This is also my all time favourite track.It never dates and sounds good everytime.This album I have had to replace several times,as I just wear each copy out! Its great for playing in the car,listening to when chilling,I even take it to the gym! I have seen the PSB lots of times 'live'and they always give value for money.They may be getting a little older now,arent we all!but their material is still edgy and well constructed.This as you would have gathered, is the CD to buy,to illustrate the complexity and talent of the PSB! EXCELLENT!

after reading the previous 21 reviews,ive decided its time to re-place my cassette version.i hated most the 80's music but yes they are prob one the best bands to survive the era.this is one heck of a fabolous album...so dont delay buy yours 2moro because im buying mine 2 day

not to wait to get them back, and bought myself, discography, which is great as they have all the well known hits of the pet shop boys we have come to love

ALREADY GOT ON TAPE BUT CANT LISTEN TO IT IN THE CAR SO BOUGHT COPY ON CD VERY GOOD HITS PLUS THE CD WOULD BE BETTER QUALITY THAN THE CASSETTE

What a fantastic album. This is a must for any cd collector . Anyone who remembers the 80's then this has to be one of the albums to be played at any party. Neil Tennant at his best. Truely awesome....

saw them on tour on tv this a very emotive band used to play this all the time when kids were smsll in the eighties. all the tracks you expect and more fabulous

This ia an essential CD to add to your 80's pop collection, with classic hits including 'It's a sin' which is my favoutire, 'Heart', 'Domino dancing' and 'Rent'. It also has some of the later 90's hits which i personally am not so bothered with.

I'd forgotten just how many decent, good old fashioned pop songs the PSB's made. Fab album - brilliant to drive to!

My step-dad asked me to buy it for him because he loves the Pet Shop Boys. He says the songs reminds him of his own life and of things which he regrets doing. He's always playing it in the car and I think the lead singer's voice is amazing and so unique.

Was just about to buy from HMV at £15.00 then checked ebay what a saving and great item at great price. You can buy almost anything at great price

I decided to but this as i only have it on a pre recorded tape from the 80's do by i friend when i had no cash in my 20'

i bought this cd as my aunt is a massive fan of pet shop boys, she had been looking for ages in the shops for this cd but was constantly disappointed as it was out of stock, so i went on ebay, got a great price for it, it was fast delivery and although it was in used condition it was in excellent condition, now aunt very very very very happy.

We brought it because we used to have a copy years ago and as you do we lost it.
It brings back great memories for us.

what more can i say, its got all there best songs on it and i got it on ebay for next to nothing. cheap as chips. go buy it now. if ebay was a girl i would like to marry her this minute.

Excellent CD remembering the best of their Top Ten hits over the past decade. I have always enjoyed listening to the Pet Shop Boys and can find no fault in the majority of their records.

The discography cd enables me to listen to all their hits at one session and at times whilst driving I play the cd over and over again.

i love this cd. loads of pet shop boys hits! took me back to my teenage years! i think i knew all the tracks too. really cheery tunes!!

Well what is not to like..it's the Pet Shop Boys... bought it because I wanted 'It's a Sin'. There was a couple of other songs on the album which were worth listening too also.
