Pentax Z-1 35mm Film Camera

The Z-1 is a really excellent camera. It takes very good photos. There will be resources out there for all the specifications, ask a search engine. It will cope with all the lenses you have. Maunual, Auto focus etc. Pentax, Cosina, Sigma, Tamron etc etc . All the older K lenses work. The power zoom FA lens that came with the camera is lovely, I'm not sure why DSLRs don't have the same.

However! The camera was in production many years ago. It will be showing its age. I have bought a couple of cameras from people who have had them stored for ages. Batteries dead, they sell them in mint condition with the dead battery. You get the camera, whack a new film and battery in, turn on and crack! Something inside breaks. And it breaks in your hands. 10 years in the cupboard and you get it and it breaks.

So buy a Z-1. The hyper-manual program is fun. My DSLR doesn't have the delayed multiple exposure shots it does. But take care. Get an agreement that if it doesn't work you get a refund. Or get the seller to buy a new battery and test it.

Its not the most recent flagship Pentax film SLR but its affordable and it works really well.
