Pentax OptioWPi Digital Camera

As an active family this camera is perfect. It is small enough to fit into your pocket but with a big enough screen to see what you are taking a picture of! Being waterproof means that you can take it out and about without the usual worry of getting it wet. As the seal to keep it waterproof is just a switch away it is normal practice to keep it on. Which is just as well as we (or should that be I) dropped it down the centerboard gap bit of our dinghy (technical eh!) when it slipped off my lap. Apart from the concern of losing it at the bottom of the lake there never was the concern of losing all our holiday snaps.

It has various modes, that I only occasionally use, to take pictures at different speeds and light levels. It is easy to use with obvious buttons. Having a bag for it is defiunitely recomended as with no shutter cover there is a risk of scratches (but not dust as it is dustproof).

I've taken some great pictures both on land and underwater! With it's high pixel count cropping to the picture you want is easy. Taking movie footage is easy and surprisingly good. It can be edited on the camera and then either viewed on the screen or put onto your computer.

Basically if you are out in all weathers then this is the camera for you.
