Pentax Optio T10 with touch screen

I bought my first Pentax T10 in February 2007 for motorcycle touring; the compact size and touch screen facility were important because I did not need the use of my reading glasses and the screen could be operated using (summer) gloves. In January 2008 the lens seized in the 'on' position and it was repaired under warranty. In February 2009 the battery retaining catch became 'floppy' and failed to hold the battery in place. However, I was still able to use the camera after closing the battery/memory card flap. The warranty had expired and I decided to buy another T10 as opposed to another repair. My other compact camera is Panasonic Lumix TZ3 which is superior in every way except it is bigger and I need my specs. to use it! To summarise: the T10 is a handy camera, producing good results, but too delicate for constantly replacing the re-charged battery.
