After many years with Olympus Digital Cameras, I deceided to give Pentax a go, and I was not dissappointed. The photos are adequatley clear and with a 10MB resultion can be printed to quite a large size without seeing any artifacts.
The Video recording is another bonus, as it's 600*480 DIVX MP4 capture is very acceptable given that you are in a well lighted place without too many light changes.
The camera's battery life is also very good, and the many settings that can be set will surely benefit the advanced user.
The camera can also take voice annotations to photos and records sound, which is both clear and effective to remember why you took a particular photo.
Excellent point and shoot camera for the price. Don't look any further unless you want to be a pro! Video not the best but adequate for memories. For stills it is excellent.
I love the quality of the camera and the screen is awsome. fast and extremly clear. easy meny, I have nothing bad to say about this camera and for this price its a winner.
I also have the S50 (which chews through batteries) so this little number is a gem, easy to use great quality pics and film and lightweight/compact with rechargeable battery to boot, mine came with a 4MB memory card so lots of happy snapping!!
Great camera, very compact, attractive, fast and easy to use. And don't forget, it is a 10.37 megapixel.
On the other hand those who like to "fiddle" with complicated cameras will like this camera as well thanks do dozens of functions which non photographers like myself can do without.
Value for Money, approximately $150 for such a camera makes it very worth it. I recommend it.
First of all, would I buy it? Yes and I did. That bit over with I would say that this little camera is fabulous. I had a canon ixus 2 for about 4 years which was a 3.2 mega pixel camera. It was great and when it broke I looked around for a new camera to replace it. My mother-in-law bought from QVC the Pentax Optio S12 (12m mega pixel version) and in short I road tested that. I was impressed with the quality all over, feel, look, picture and film quality is fantastic. The only negative I have is the sound from movie shots. Its great but not amazing. The S12 sells around £160 ish and compare this to the S10....well that's why I bought the S10. No difference in anything. Who can tell between 2 mega pixels unless you are printing industrial bill boards. Don't look any further...I've done the looking for you....buy this with confidence. Regards.
Well impressed with the camera for an affordable price does everything its asked to do nice and compact but still with the zoom and trhe usual features I find it very useful for snaps etcas I can stow it in my pocket rather than carry my SLR although I am only a fairly keen amateur I would recomend this one.
I just got this camera I upgraded from the 7.1 Optio to this and I can tell the difference in the quality of the picture. I love it. I am one happy camper :P
