The Passion Of The Christ (DVD 2004)

From a Christian point of view, I would say that this film bears an accurate account of Christ's last 12 hours in my limited knowledge. This film is beautifully shot, and shares with the watcher what Jesus represents, and why he is so loved by so many people to date. There is of course a language barrier, but out of all the American and British accent versions of Christ's life; this offers something that is a bit more closer to the true experience with the aramaic language. I loved the lighting and the way that the story reflected the pain and suffering that Christ underwent for Human kind. There is alot of blood and alot of emotion set into this film. I feel that the final scenes of this film are some of the finest shot scenes I have ever seen. All in all: Very emotional, very bloody, a story presented in a very high quality form, definately worth watching once; Christian or not.

i that this film shows christ crucified,to much was on mary but mel gibson is catholic so thats what you expect,i would advise reading the biblical account of christ and how it was i sin that put him there and that he is the only way to heaven also what he went through in the biblical account was worse than what the film shows.but still watch you will like it i brought this item to watch it

Not the sort of film I would say I loved. Perhaps I would call it a film journey. Something I wanted to see again, being a Christian I found it disturbing but would still recommend it!!

This film tells it how it was. I thought I wouldn't be happy with subtitles, but this didn't interfere at all with the flow of the film. The film should bring to life how terrible was the Passion that Christ suffered for us all.

it will take somthing rather spectacular to top this film the crucifixion of jesus was a terrible thing to go through and mel gibson has been brave enough to tell the story as it is people are very judgemental of this film i think because of the fact that is is a bible story but i if you would watch it and realise why he went through what he did rthen you will enjoy the film i have been waiting to buy this film for some time and would highly reccomend this film 5 stars from me.

although to some the language barrier is a put off i would have been more put off by yet another movie full of american accents - that wouldve been inaccurate and taken away alot from the film. its definitely not for the squeamish but is a very deep and powerful film whether you are religious or not. its not just about Jesus, its also very strongly about the relationship between a mother and her son and loving someone enough that you would die for them. emotions most of us can relate to in some ways. a film that makes you think is a refreshing change also in a world full of bland movies and remakes of old seventies cop shows. everyone should watch it once.

Whether religious or not, this is a film with a deeply moving story.. the final 12 hours of Jesus' life.

I first saw this film in a shop and almost laughed at it, but I was later told by several people to buy it and so I did. I was surprised to find that when I got home and put it in the DVD player, the film was not spoken in english. The language of the film is infact Jesus' language, but with subtitles it is possible to understand what is being said.

The special effects of the film are excellent, with parts that made me cringe (and as a fan of horrors, mainly zombie flicks, thats quite a feat) and other parts that made friends cry, notably the end.

The film is deeply touching, and that is coming from someone with no religious background. The only problem with the film was the language barrier, although the subtitles were there. Definately a film worth buying, but if you don't like blood then it may not be for you.

this is a very powerful film.
although i`m not religious, i really enjoyed this film.
it helped me understand a little more about christ, more than i`d learnt at school! i saw the film at the cinema, but decided to buy the dvd to watch again, as i think i missed a lot of detail the 1st time.
i wouldn`t recommend the film for squeamish people, but it`s definately worth watching if you can!

This is the greatest move ever about our Lord. It’s a classical move and is timeless and as closer as you can get to the true. I cannot wait for another one like this, but even more inspired by the scriptures.

Havent seen it for a while. Still a bit gory but brilliant. Do not even notice the subtitles. Mel Gibsons directing is excellent again after APOCALYPTO.

This is a really good film and also very interesting, Its also a very touching film and very emotional.Its well made with great effects, Well worth the money.

A very good description of a historic,true and controversial subject. this is well worth having in the cupboard. It needs to be watched with an open mind . Even though theres lots of blood it shows the true moral to the story.

This is the greatest film ever, it really make you think about your life again.

If you believe whatever happened in the film was done for you. It really make a biggest impact about your life.

I have seem it in the cinema, but I just love to have this dvd. When I feel low in my life. It really reminds me the greatest love in the world!!

THIS FILM IS SUCH A SAD BUT INTERESING DVD IT HELPS AL THOSES TO UNDERSTAND CHRIST AND WHAT HAPPENED AND THE PAIN HE SUFFERED FOR US I THINK THAT AT SOME STAGE IN LIFE EVERYONE SHOULD WATCH IT IT WILL HELP WITH THE UNDERSTANDING OF GOD AND CHRIST I THINK THIS DVD WAS ONE OF THE BEST DVDS CREATED AS IT WILL HELP EVERYONE UNDERSTAND AND IT IS GOOD FOR THOSE WHO CANT READ ITS VERY EMOTIONAL BUT VERY TRUE

I wanted to buy it as im a Christian and decided i must watch it. I loved it even though it made me cry.

I bought this film on the back of all the hype.
What I had never realised is that the entire sound track is in Aramaic/Latin Hebrew with English subtitles. OK, it makes it more accurate, but not exactly involving as you miss the acting while you read the subtitles.

I can't comment on the film as I gave up watching it after half an hour!
