Panasonic TX-22LT2 22 in. EDTV-Ready LCD Television

This is an old design for an LCD TV now, but in it's day (around 2001) it was the best LCD tv you could buy. The price reflected that, it retailed at over £2000, but at the time nothing could touch the features and resolution.
With age, faults have shown up. Spares from Panasonic are VERY expensive and hard to get hold of. There are two main sections to the TV, the electronic panel and the LCD panel which includes the fluorescent tube illumination system. Not much goes wrong with the electronics, but the early LCD screen and associated driver circuits have a tendency to develop annoying display fauults. New display panels are £400. A new HD LCD TV is £350. This is a shame because the TV although not HD, has a very high resolution and is great for gaming and as a bedroom TV.
If you can pick up a working secondhand one, then grab it if the price is around £150-£200. Make sure you get the original stand and remote control though. Wall mount stands are available, but the original remote replacements are about £40.
