A great hard disc recorder transforms TV viewing

This is the second PVR we have bought through Ebay, second hand, and we chose this model because we were very happy with the TUCTH100 and wanted another one for a different part of the house. I love the simple way you can see how many hours are left free for recordings. Once you get used to it, it's easy enough to operate and make timer recordings. Love being able to view one channel and watch another. Like many hard disc recorders it will freeze from time to time, just like any computer can! If you want to use it in a bedroom, be aware that it will make an audible 'chittering' noise and sometimes do this at unpredictable times when it decides to update itself. I believe that there are newer PVRS on the market which could be bought new for around £100 but we thought we would be better with the 'devil we knew' and we are not disappointed.
One drawback - it will not record audio - even though it receives all the digi radio stations. So no Archers or afternoon play. If you want to record radio programmes, some PVRs will do this, including Humax.
