Panasonic SDR-H40 (40 GB) Hard Drive Camcorder

I like this camcorder because it does exactly what it says on the box.It has a great and easy to use menu. Although I'm not an expert it takes very good film and still pics too. It does all of the things I want from a camcorder,have to say its a great buy. The only small thing in my view that could be improved is the need for a lense cover. I bought Panasonic because for me they make top quality good value gear.Although I bought this camcorder from Hong Kong and had to pay £32 duty it was still much cheaper than the equivalent here in the UK.The seller also chucked in a few good freebies. All in all a great buying experience,I'm a happy chappie.

I was extremely disappointed with this purchase. It was sent without the charger unit and when I eventually got it, it didn't work. When I did some recording using what battery life was available it was unwatchable the sound was poor and the picture jump about. It is now in a bootom drawer unusable.
