I really like the dvd combo but this product never stated that it does not read dvd-r and does not record only reads dvd ram.

I was only looking for a Panasonic compatable VCR to replace my broken VCR NV-625
Having a DVD included was a bonus.
I like the Quick search features and fame by frame button on the new VCR.
The visual apearance of the facia is pleasing as is the layout of controls.
Every feature is designed to make usage quick and easy and straight forward.
In short this unit meets all my requirements.
