I have had one of these cameras in the past and regretted selling it and kept a look out for a pristine one on sale. Many prospective digital camera buyers will turn their nose up at this gem of a camera due to its low megapixel rating compared to the latest crop of digital cameras. In doing so they will be ignoring a little gem of a camera that is now available for a very modest price on ebay. The key factor is the LENS - the Leica lens on this camera is absolutely top rate and whilst their may be one or two to equall it, I have yet to experience one in an affordable digital compact that beats it. If you want a camera to record holiday memories that wont break the bank, this will fit the bill nicely.

) Having had SLR's for 'yonks' years, I bought my first digital with trepidation and was warned that the LC50 was 'bulky' had a 'small screen' in other words it was old hat Rubbish its a beauty with loads of capabilities and available at under
£ 40.00- add a card reader from 'argos' and your up and running for less than fifty quid. The lens compares with my canon and pentax when viewed on screen so I would recommend it as a first buy for those brought up on SLRs and in the simple mode you could be using a canon sureshot and proud of the results.Good for panasonic oh ! and Ebay.
