This camera was bought for my daughter (aged 11) last year as a Christmas present.
Since then she has taken it every where in all conditions and has taken some truly gorgeous shots. She has filled her 2GB SD card several times and only charged the camera 3 times!
The anti-shake works a treat 90% of the time even with a snap happy child - as does the auto-focus. Picture quality is 2nd to none - even the video function looks incredible when played straight onto a 32" TV! Even the flash works much better than expected.
I've been using a Canon EOS SLR for the last 17 years and since my daughter has had this camera, mine has hardly come out of the case - we just keep borrowing hers!!
