Wow, i love this phone. I had a 680 a while ago but it wasn't quite enough for me. This has it all, and i got it for a good price.

Palm Treo Pro the best phone in world at this moment!

I like everything in this phone, have wifi gps(tomtom work great),bt, that what is very important qwerty keypad! Is not slide etc scrap, standart phone with touch screen small size good battery, 3,5mm mini jack(good for music), office software like excel, notes , recorder.

Bad thing is windows(a bit slow like every win but is load software for win),
camera could be with autofocus, 2mpix is enough but just this autofocus for quick picture of text etc.

Apart this 2 things phone is the best in use for biznes people! :)

  Palm Treo Pro

I bought the Pro to replace my Treo 650 as the 650 doesn't have wi-fi, HSDPA, or GPS and is rather heavy and large. I wanted a phone with a keyboard as good as the Treo (it comes very close) and I also looked at Blackberry's and the G1. In the end I chose the Pro because the add on apps were already well developed - mobireader, word processing from dataviz or softmaker etc. I like the additional features of the Pro and the size and weight - it looks good too. It's great to get a location with Google Maps and the wi-fi works very well as does the ability to get straight into hotmail without using an email client such as versamail.

What I struggle with is the Windows Mobile OS which always seems to take one step plus a stylus tap more than the Palm OS on the 650 and always seems to drain the battery by leaving some application running. How much better this phone would have been if Palm had developed Palm OS further and used it for the Pro.

Overall I like this 'phone but I still haven't sold the Treo 650 on - something about it is just holding me back.

Hope this helps anyone making a comparison....

  What a phone!

This phone is lovely, ignore the reviews that say it's plain, since when has plain been a bad thing?!?
Coming from a HTC Tytn II, I really like:
1. Size - small, flat and light
2. Buttons for all the important stuff. Button to turn off Phone and bluetooth. Button to turn on wifi and one to put the phone on silent. No need to delve through Windows mobile 6 to manage these settings.
3. Nice sounding loud external speaker
I miss the Tytn II's keyboard, but I can totally live with the Treo Pro's. I also wish they had used mini usb for the charger, but you can get these 3.99 adapters to use existing mini usb for charging.
All in all I wish I had got this phone sooner.

An excellent bit of kit for office style work: plenty of memory, good display (although small compared to Pre/iPhone) - keyboard works well even if it takes a while to get used to. Feels quite zippy. Windows 6.1 is intuitive for Windows users and the Today front page keeps you on top of your calendar events.

The comms are excellent: Wifi/HSDPA/USB works a treat. Had a few issues moving from my Treo 600 with birthdays not syncing, but this is easily fixed and the address book synced well. Free versions of Skype, MSN, Facebook, YouTube and Realplayer work well (but need to be downloaded and installed).

Googlemaps can also be downloaded and works a treat with the built in GPS - especially the traffic feature. You can download a google-plugin which allows you to access documents, email, Picasa and a few other bits and bobs.

Day to day, the apps are great - particularly multimedia as it plays most file formats out of the box. With a few free bits of software, you can listen to internet radio (including BBC listen again) and Gb of music by adding a microSD card.

Comfortable to use on a day to day basis. I'd recommend investing in a good case. Battery life is ok: I get 3 or so days of normal phone use on a full charge, but if I start to use WiFi/data that uses a lot of power!

Pros: A lot better value for money than competing products (if you get a good price on ebay!). Feature packed, lots of software available and well designed.

Cons: the screen sometimes feels rather cramped and it easy to keep jabbing the spacebar when pressing letters at the bottom of the keyboard.

  Elegant phone that works well
Review created: 05/09/09

It looks cool. Many people have asked to see my "iphone" as they think it looks similar. Its got windows mobile 6.1 - no fancy grahpic shells but it all just works well. If you use hotmail then its great. No problems at all with it. I would recommend it and buy it again.

One small downside - the keyboard is small and takes a little getting used to, but once you are used to it (took me a week) then it works well.

Palm Treo Pro Mobile 6 Phone

Without doubt the very best phone I have ever had, and I am very dificult to please. I have loaded SPB dairy and Agenda One software on it and its perfect. You can tell some one has thought about how you use a phone not just created a shell and loaded software on it.

As a mobile office it will be hard to beat. It does have a touch screen as well as a querty keyboard same as the Blackberry, but unlike the Blackberry the user interface works the way you do, it quick to learn and logical.

My advice is BUY IT

If you want tha ability of the Blackberry keypad plus touch screen the Palm Pro is the answer, it is not perfect but very close. Running windows mobile it is pretty slick in fact there is not a lot I can fault.
