I am a PC engineer who's happy with a basic set-up for the use I make of it. The only game I ever play is Windows Freecell....mind you I'm good at it! I have an Azrock all-in-one mainboard with a duel-core 5.5g AMD & 4g of ram. I watch a lot of sport on the net while doing other stuff at the same time that I found it started overheating the CPU and giving me 'the hump'. I was just browsing through Ebay looking for a graphics card for a customer and I came across this with the totally daft price..the PC was running warm and it clicked. I bought it and had it 2 days later. Fitted it...set it up...What a difference! It ran like a different machine! Talking to friends they've had similar trouble with some of the later Azrocks. This card I had bought as a 'cheap and nasty' was in fact a very good chipset indeed and more then worth the price. It has all the features of a £100 card! More still...it LOVES the Azrock all-in 1 mainboard.
I got this for a Hackintosh I was building. Its the same spec as the standard fit card in an early Mac Pro so th OS-X drivers behave with it as soon as it's "enabled". Performance isn't earth shattering, but for what it cost it performs pretty well. In the case of my hackintosh it supports Quarts and Core image with full hardware acceleration. You'd probably get a little more bang for your buck out of an ATI HD series card.
