Over The Hedge (DVD)

In 'Over the Hedge' Bruce Willis plays RJ, a raccoon who is in trouble. He tried to take Vincent the bear's (Nick Nolte) food and has two weeks to replace it or else. RJ's plan, to con a group of foragers into collecting the food for him. Lead by Verne the turtle (Garry Shandling), who does not trust RJ, the group is impressed with RJ's knowledge of suburbia which has recently invaded their forest and has built a hedge around of what is left of their environment. The group decides to follow RJ, but will it be their undoing?

This is an awesome film with an all-star cast. With the likes of Steve Carell, William Shatner, and Thomas Haden Church; this movie is a true hit. Kids will love it, adults will love, and I loved it. Everyone is perfect in their roles; I have not seen a better animated film since 'Finding Nemo'.

Bought this mainly for my daughter who is 5 years old, however she lost interest in it after a while. However I enjoyed it quite a lot.

Another great animated comedy concerning a group of unsuspecting hibernating animals desperate to gather enough food to last them through the next year.
Little do they know the street wise racoon has his own agenda!!

Over the hedge is an adventure based film for children and adults to both enjoy.
Its about a group of animals who are trying to stop their home in the forest from being turned into a housing estate, with the individual tales of the funny little characters, laugh a minute film!

Our daughter likes this movie..we had a dvd which we lost when we went abroad on a holiday. So we bought another one. It was cheap compared to high street prices. Good quality. We enjoyed ebaying !

Having converted most of my old video collection to DVD I was thrilled to find this film gem . If you watch this in widescreen format, it really does the battle scene great justice; coupled with surround sound, you'll be gripped by the amazing cinematography. I would recommend the director's cut that includes scenes about the relationship between the lead character and his estranged wife and helps you to understand the motivation behind his decision. The run time is 183 minutes for the directors cut and 120 minutes for the cinema version. I was, however, disappointed by the lack of extras, which any fan of this classic would expect to be included. There's only a 20-minute interview with the director and other shot "making-of" vignettes.

I havent actually had the time to watch this DVD myself.. BUT... from the silence my 2 boys give with laughter thrown in when they put it on to watch speaks volumes!!!!! I LOVE IT,

Very good story line, excellent all-round family entainment. This dreamworks production is deemed to be an all time classic.

When I first saw Toy story, You can see how far films and the magic has come especially for kids.
I have watched this quite a few times and never get bored with it and yes im an adult but I think this movie appeals to all ages.
The story line, characters and quality is outstanding, and my fav is Hammy.
This will have you laughing and the kids will be clued to the tv watching this.
Buy and enjoy.

Great family movie, fun for everyone! I decided to buy it after i saw the movie on tv. There is nothing i disliked about the movie.

My 3 year old son loves watching Dvds so was glad to get my hands on this one for such a good price.
He thoroughly enjoyed the film as it was full of different animals who talk and have this big adventure gathering food without 'humans' catching them so its full of exciting bits and there is never really a quiet or boring moment all the way through so keeps kids entertained for when mums need to get on with the house work! so I would say this was an excellent film for children and for big kids too as there is parts that only adults would understand and find funny.

well the kids where in hysterics from start to finish what a cracking fun packed family film
would recommend you all watch this film at least once
suitable for all the family no matter who young or old
look out for Steve you will have a suprise when you see who or what it is

This is a great film for kids, and one they will watch again and again. Its a very funny film with excellant graffix and great characters. The moral of the story is, 'always tell the truth'.

Excellent family film.kids love it.so did i for the first hundred times now its sending me over.my boy loves it so much he plays it over and over and over and......we'll guess the rest.[It is really a good film]

Animated story of a group of animals who wake from hibernation to find their forest gone! meet a know all racoon that tries to trick them into helping him fulfill a debt to a selfish bear but over time he realises they are his friends for him and change him.

A story of friendship and how good friends are always there for you and you for them

Excellent fun! Since i usually have to watch DVD's over and over again with my son...
It's got to be good, entertaining and must teach him something... Over the hedge does just that!

EXCELLENT FUNNY ANIMATION WITH GOOD STORYLINE..HAS SOME GREAT CATCHPHRASES LIKE "I LOVEEEE THE COOKIE" LOOK OUT FOR THAT ONE LOL.. GREAT FOR KIDS AND ADULTS ALIKE.. SO GO WATCH ITS GREAT FUN..

Instantly became a favourite of my 2 year old and the rest of the family. Well animated and very funny fast moving family fun. Loveable characters and catchy music throughout. Highly recommend!
