The Others (DVD 2002)

This is probably the BEST movie representation of Life after Death. Another great movie with a fantastic twist at the end. This is one of the very best ghost films of all time. Fantastic acting from the brilliant Nicole Kidman and the child actors in the movie. If you havnt seen The Others and like a good ghost movie then this is the ULTIMATE GHOST MOVIE! its up there with the Original "The Haunting" (1963) A True classic.

I like this Dvd because it is a thriller, has you guessing until the end. No gore and is entertaining. It also has some very good actors in. It was also nice to see Eric Sykes in a strange role. I don't really dislike anything, I supppose it takes a little time to get into what is happening.
I decided to get it because I had seen it and wanted to get it to add to my collection to watch whenever I want to.
It is nice to be able to get it at a good price, if you want to build up acollection of different types of films to see so if friends come round you have a good selection and maybe something they have not seen.

Very good movie, suprising, unexpected ending, keeps you thrilled until the end. Dvd I bought is special features only, but I have seen movie before, so I knew what was it about. I really recommend especially for those who like spooky, scary movies.

I didn't see the twist coming, at first I wondered if it was going to be any good it gets off to such a slow start, but it builds and it builds until you're on the edge of your seat.

Seeming haunted by an old lady, somehow through the daughter...and the odd servants, are they good or bad???

This film makes you slightly paranoid in your own home but it's worth it!

Nicole Kidman is not a favourite actress of mine. As a devoted and developed Spiritualist I never for one second understood what the conclusion of this outstanding piece of work would produce, well done to Nicky girl and the remainder of the cast and hats off to the entire production team. Must see film!

This film is, to me, the perfect ghost story, containing just enough suspense and action, to keep the viewer excited.
Set in post WW2 Jersey, it tells the tale of a family and their new servants, living in a rambling mansion.
You can tell from the beginning that there is something not quite right with the people in the story, but I can`t really tell any more, without giving the fantastic plot away, or making too many spoilers to make it enjoyable.
Suffice to say, that the casting is fantastic - Nicole Kidman portrays her role as the neurotic mother especially well, and the story is wonderful. I would whole-heartedly recommend this film to anyone who likes a great ghost story.

A large eerie dark house in the middle of nowhere shrouded by a permanent thick fog, a young girl that speaks to 'intruders', the mother's strange behaviour and complete disbelief of her daughter's claims.... The ending is fairly predictable but the build up is great. Certainly not the scariest film but worth watching.

THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST FILMS I HAVE SEEN. This was a truly excellent film-too many times are films regarded as 10/10 when they are anything but.

A good old fashioned ghost story with fantastic performances from all and beautifully shot, very atmospheric.

I could actually see the twist coming toward the end but a certain part of it was still a shock-I won't spoil it for anybody.

Wonderful film.

The clever use of a mist bound England, sets the scene for a real classic Horror story. A woman trying to protect her children from a debilitating disease, a disease which stops them from being allowed to be exposed to daylight, while she awaits the return of her husband from the war.
The ending brought about a chilling realisation in the main character played by the excellent Nicole Kidman, as ever a true professional.
The extra's contained on the DVD are as engrossing as the film, especially the section involving the imagery used.

A great thriller that is suitable for most audiances. The twisted tale is a great story line that keeps the veiwers interested and always wondering what will happen next. Jumpy in all the right places and not gawry at all

I had seen this film some years ago and remembered it was an excellent horror film so I wanted to buy it to watch with my fiance and friends.
If I say too much I will give the story away, so I will simply say if you like spooky ghost stories this one is for you!
Nicole Kidman plays superbly - as do the two children...
An unusual twist to the tale adds to the intrigue - thoroughly recommended! :o)

Love the film but bought it mainly for personal reasons as my 2nd cousin plays the little bot - he is so cute just like his dad used to be

EXCELLENT SUPERNATURAL HORROR. GOOD STORYLINE. EXCELLENT ROLE PLAYED BY NICOLE KIDMAN. WELL WORTH BUYING.

You need to be awake and maybe watch this a couple times. If you can get on with sixth sense then you will like this film as goes along the same sort of lines.
