Orishas - El Kilo (CD 2005)

I discovered this group, which is a trio of Cubans now based and very popular in France and Spain, at Salsa dancing lessons in the UK and though the language is predominantly Spanish I just love the music and the singing talents of Roldan, Yotuel and Ruzzo. I have listened to it so many times and grown to love it so much that I cant understand why anyone would not love it too. Naci Orishas the first track is a particular favourite but the title track El Kilo is also great and there is nothing but enjoyment from every other track. Their music is described as Hip-Hop R&B or Rap. I would prefer to call it Latin Rap and it not what I traditionally thought of as Rap which does not appeal to me at all. This is I believe their third album following on from "A Lo Cubano" and "Emigrante" though they have also released since then in 2007 "Antidiotico" which is basically their greatest hits and for which I have a 3 CD version with 2 Music CD's and one music video DVD.
