The story of the expensive and unsinkable behemoth that collided with an iceberg and quickly sunk has been told countless times. Yet the tale of the doomed Titanic has been turned into a love story, which underscores the triumph of the heart above even the most impossible odds.Horner's swelling orchestrations are equally inspiring and ominous, bringing to life the film's magical moments, from the ship's triumphant departure to its well-known sinking, running the gamut of emotions adeptly. Combining tasteful synthesizer sounds with symphonic arrangements is a bold compositional move which pays off perfectly--uniting the historical period of the film to our own, bringing the viewer closer to the subject. As a final touch, Celine Dion contributes a beautiful rendition of "My Heart Will Go On-- The Love Theme From The Titanic," which serves as the crowning glory in this touching and dramatic musical score.
