This collection complements the first volume which should be listened to in unison with this. Even so, as a stand alone this CD in places surpasses its predecessor in several instances. There are some real treats to be enjoyed and as a whole this compilation gives the listener the fuller range of the orb's talent and an appreciation that they were and remain very prolific talent, to a good degree thanks to Alex Patterson's ability to collaborate with a wide range of musicians as much as his own abilities. Seasoned fans will pick up some classic loops and sequences that the Orb made fine use of in their earlier Big Life signed work, where they were pushing the boundaries of technology in music as they continue to do today.
