It was my fella's birthday and he's a massive fan of El Mariachi and Desperados. Would you believe he hadn't seen this movie!? So anyway, we watched it, then we watched all the special features and we absolutely loved it!! Great film, excellent quality from the seller and an all round perfect gift :-)

I bought this DVD on ebay for 99p!!! bargain.
Bit of a 'mad' film, good guys verses bad guys (I think!) although is hard to tell who is who! Even the detective (Johnny Depp) gets his come-uppance! Alot of gun shooting and running around in this bizarre plot which does get alittle confusing. Great settings, costumes and sound track makes this unusual film one to watch.

It's an unusual independent film, with Johnny Depp playing the pants off his role. It is a little hard to follow in places because it reverts to subtitles frequently, byt nevertheless, this does not distract from a avery admirable film. Far away from the "Hollywood" usual offering this is an intricately woven story with believeable characters in what one can only describe as the real Mexico. Antonio Banderas is equally brilliant, just don't ever order pork and beans in Mexico is all I can say. Although the ending is not quite as you would expect, it believable breaks the standard formula of a happy ending, which makes it all the more watchable. I just love the represntation of Mexico from the bygone era, and the music serves the film well. Recommended, but be patient with the subtitles, not something that bothers or detracts from a film for me, but not everyone likes them. If you are a Johnny Depp/Antonion Banderas fan then this is definitely one to see.
