Olympus Stylus 770 SW Digital Camera

Awesome! Fantastic piece of kit. Bought principally for its underwater feature but found that overall the camera first class. Quality of images is brilliant, menus intuitive and easy to follow. Looks are great too.
The underwater pictures are first class but the only draw back is that underwater in brightlight its very difficult to see the screen to properly frame the shot. If you want a first class digital camera get this one. If you want to take underwater shots without any bulky water proof cases then this is the only choice - but even if there was a competitor it wouldn't be able to beat it. Buy it!

Bought it because i broke my previous compact digital whilst out sailing, so decided to get an "indestucible" camera.
The money you pay is for the waterproofing etc rather than the picture quality it produces - probably similar to a £80 camera.
The flash is pretty weak and creates light patches on the image if pushed.
Audio recording quality is pretty low due to the waterproofed microphone (i recon)
Video is surprisingly grainy, but certainly watchable!

Having read as many reviews as possible it seems to be the best of this variety.

Overall it is good at what it claims to do - be hardy, but it does not compare well to the other compact cameras over images etc. You can of course take it any where and get images you wouldn't get otherwise.

This was the 2nd Olumpus Stylus 770 SW I bought because a friend wanted one also. I love th efact that I can take it anywhere (in the water, rain, snow, dust) and don't mind giving to my kids for a spin.

I like this camera very much, we originally bought it to take on honeymoon as we are doing a lot of snorkeling and water sports and it is waterproof. Since owning it we have take some excellent family pics and its very easy to use and the pics it takes are very good. It fits easily into your pocket as well and is very tough. I wanted a blue one as per the advert but when it came it was silver, but we still kept it as it is still a very smart camera. There is nothing about this camera I dislike.

It seems to have everything you'd want & is neat if a bit heavy. It's tough casing & waterproofing make it ideal for holiday or beach use & I'm looking forward to trying some underwater shots in Greece next month. I got a carry case, sparte battery & charger for ten quid off eBay from a Hong Kong company. Jessops charge £40 just for a battery!
Quality of picture is good - megapixels is irrelevant in cameras, its the quality of the CCD that matters.
Highly recommended, especially for holidays.
