Olympus Mju 750 Digital Camera

Bought as christmas present, excellent condition, great having a digital and video camera all in one, takes great pictures. nothing i dislike about it

It is very compact, easy to use, the ideal weight, loaded with useful features and has a clear sizable LCD screen. Two minor faults that can be irritating are, there is no view finder and in bright sunshine any image is not clearly defined on the LCD screen, making it a disadvantage to ensure the perfect picture. This camera was purchased because in my opinion, Olympus products and there reputation are second to none and is excellent value for the money.

Why I like the product: Easy to use. Big screen. Attractive, modern looking. Good quality, strong casing.
Why I dislike the product: Small buttons (if you have big fingers, this could cause a problem. Doesn't apply to me though.)
Why I bought the product: Value for money. £80 less than on the high street. Good features. Easy to use.

Good technical performance. Small controls very fiddly to operate. Biggest failing is poor visibility of the rear screen image in even modest strength daylight. Impossible to see what you are shooting in bright sunlight.

This is a lovely little camera; it's light, compact, tough (metal body) and very easy to use.
In the vast scheme of things it's starting to get left behind in the pixel race, but 7.1 megapixels is good enough to print to A4 size without any problems, so who really needs any more.
The size of the camera means that it can easily be slipped into a pocket; so you're more likely to be ready for that photo opportunity when it presents itself.
On the highest quality setting you can get 294 pictures on a 1Gb card (£8-£9 on eBay) or almost 600 pictures on a 2Gb card (£12-£13 on eBay) and even more pictures on a lower quality setting.
The battery life is quite good and with a battery costing £3-£4 on eBay it's cheap enough to purchase a spare.
The quality of the lens is very good with the colours being sharp and true to life, and should a little rain try to spoil your photo session, the camera is weather proof; not water proof though, so don't take it swimming!
It doesn't have a viewfinder, but the rear screen is large and bright enough to be seen easily in most types of light.
The image stability mechanism on the camera means that camera shake is in effect reduced, helping to take sharper pictures in lower light when the camera selects a slower shutter speed.
The macro setting is very good and will focus down to about 25-30mm, meaning you could fill the screen with a 50p piece should you feel inclined.
The menu is very easy to navigate and should you need it there is a help guide built into the camera software.
There are various settings to cover most types of scenes you are likely to watch to phototgraph, and the manual settings are easy to use should you want a little more control of the end result.
There isn't anything I dislike about this camera; as I said in my introduction it's light, compact and tough - ideal to carry about in your pocket, and whilst I'll admit I'm a fan of the Olympus range, you'll not be disappointed if you decide to buy one of these great little cameras.

The camera was bought as a birthday present for my 16 year old daughter. Since arriving in the household it has been everyone's new toy. Small enough to hold in one hand, easy to use, sharp enough to take passport pictures, does everything David Baily has ever tried and more. Easy to load onto your computer. It's safe to say it arrived in perfect working order, all in all a brilliant buy. So if you need a camera Olympus Mju 750 Digital is definately rocking!

I love this camera as it has a number of good features, such as 5x zoom, iso up to 1600 and dual image stabilisation. It gives really good colour rendering, especially on landscape mode. It has a useful guide mode that gives good tips (which image quality setting should you use, how to reduce blur...) It's water resistant, so you needn't worry about the camera being damaged if you use it in the rain. Results for night shooting are very good.
Compared to my previous camera, this is a massive improvement. If you have a camera from 3-4 years ago it is well worth upgrading.

Great little camera that slips easily into your pocket so it gets used! The pictures are good and the anti shake feature seems to work well. It is easy to use but some may find the controls a little small. The 5x zoom is great on a camera this size. I bought this camera because i spend a lot of time out walking and the fact that it is water resistant is a bonus. However this camera does have a down side-- the PPH feature, point press and hope! It is impossible to see the screen in bright condition and you can only guess what you are taking. The zoom becomes redundant of course because you can only see your own reflection in the screen. How come none of the reviews i read mentioned this? I would not buy another camera without a viewfinder.
To sum up Great but do not buy it to use anywhere sunny.
