  Easy to use digital camera

I had this camera for around 4 years and it was top of the range in compacts in it's day. Have taken thousands of great photos (Must have paid for itself with ebay pics alone!) Only problem I have is in low light, shutter stays open forever and a massive blur is the result, no use at concerts. More modern cameras compensate for this now, also 3.2 MP is a little low when 7-10 MP is now the norm.
In summary a great looking and great performing camera, as long as you have good light.

PS. Please read the "review" by "3c97e711a5ff40bc8e382fae603bdb09c342e91c58595232413 " below and see if you think they read the same thing before their unfair criticism. I think not......

fantastic solid model, but alas now a bit outdated

Best camera I've had (of about 4 Olympus ones). It was a decent size, and weighed not too much but enough like a 35mm camera. It had a great manual slide cover for the lens which meant it never broke, but kept the important parts safe (newer models don't have it). It still had a viewfinder, so you could keep the screen off and take pictures the old fashioned way by sight, which I much prefer (newer models don't have it).

And... it took pictures of just the right size for computer storage/emailing. The contrast was always a bit too low, so I had to up it on my computer during post processing (I also kept the exposure always at +0.3 to help compensate for this a bit).

The interface was easy to use and intuitive, the buttons were well arranged.

Only downsides were that it didn't record audio during video recording mode, and it started to seem a little big compared to all the other new spiffy models out there. Oh yeah, and someone stole it from my coat in a club in Amsterdam, bastards. If it wasn't for the outdated size, I would have gotten a new one to replace the favorite baby of mine in a second.
(P.S. This is the same as the Olympus Stylus 300 model sold in the U.S.)
