Olympus M-XD2GM (2 GB)

The Olympus M-XD2GM Type M-series xD-Picture Card packs 2GB of memory into an ultra-compact media card measuring just 25.0mm(W) x 20.0mm(H) x 1.7mm(D) in size. Using an 8 mega-pixel Olympus digital camera in HQ mode, the card will enable users to take and store approximately 1000 shots.

The Olympus xD-Picture Card not only supports the exclusive Olympus Panorama option but also the popular 3D, oil painting, watercolour & cartoon art effect functions by inputting the access code to the Olympus Master software (Version 1.4 or later). A pair of 3D glasses are even included in all Type M boxes!

The M-XD2GM has been designed using the latest high-capacity storage technology, based on the Multi-Level Cell, which will be used to develop all capacities of the xD-Picture Card Type M series.

One negative point, i tried to fit it in the slot on my lap top and it seemed very tight, it is bedding in now and seems to be fine.

Having numerous 16MB cards I looked forward to have a great deal more capacity on one card. No need to change cards and no need to edit card at awkward moments. It has proved to be great.

No wait...this is good and should encourage all those who might feel a bit shy of trying out buying and selling on e-bay - and warn all those expert e-bayers, and e-buyers, about being complacent.

It all started when I booked a holiday. You know how it is..you go through the list...passport..insurance..euros (or whatever)..books..suntan lotion..camera..CAMERA! I remember now I have only a small amount of memory built in to my camera and I want to increase it massively because my grandchildren (2) and their Mummy and Daddy are coming with us and I will take LOADS and LOADS of photographs!

So I bid on a 2GB memory card..and waited..and sweated..and won the auction! I asked, and got, speedy delivery (thank you seller) and the pristine memory card arrived just a day or two before we were due to leave. Oh Joy!!.....

.....except the Card wasn't compatible with my camera. Oh S...!

So my son used his camera and took loads and loads of lovely photographs . . but not as lovely as mine would have been.

So when I came back I became the seller of a 2GB memory card - and I warned everybody to make sure it was suitable for their camera model. I sold it of course..at a loss of course! - although again the transaction was eficient (thank you buyer) and bought a new camera with plenty of memory built in and an accompanying suitable memory card! You can't catch me twice!

Anybody done anything more stupid than this? I doubt it..but at least the e-bay bits went all right....though, I wonder, do you think I should ask e-bay, and Paypal, if I could have a refund of all charges as a gesture of .....pity?!!!
