Olympus FE-170 Digital Camera

Although a refurbished Camera it came with great packaging and all software like a new machine, Takes great photos, small lean and handy, always been a Fuji man in the past but this camers is just as good at a cheaper price,

Having 3 previous Olympus cameras I chose this as an update. It is a lovely looking camera, small and compact and very easy to use but it does have down sides. The battery/card cover is flimsy and fiddly and the speed is slow in between shots - it seems to take a long time to write to the card.
Overall a nice camera but not the best.

Bought as I needed a camera for selling items on ebay,was not impressed with it at all,very poor in flash mode or low light,and gobbled batteries.Put straight back on ebay to sell and lost money!My advice,don't concentrate on the so called numbers of pixels but buy something with a decent sized lens...

I bought the Olympus FE-170 because ive had other olympus cameras in the past and alyways found them to be excellent.The FE-170 is no exception 6 million pixels,3x optical zoom,10x digital zoom,full auto mode,image stabilization,10 different scene modes including night time and super macro ideal for Ebay auctions.The built in memory is very small and only big enough to store six SHQ photographs but lower the quality and the amount of pictures increases.You really do need to buy a memory card to get the most out of this camera.A 1GB card allows you to store 100 super high quality photographs or about 30 minutes of video.Very simple to use with on screen instructions easily seen on the huge 2.5in lcd screen.The FE-170 does not have a veiwfinder but uses the large screen at the back.This can be a problem in bright sunlight but in everyday use its fine.Compact and stylish the FE-170 is a very good Digital Camera for those who just want to point and click and reasonable quality photos.

good :-
fit's nicely in the hand. optical zoom ok for price. good quality pictures and for me perfect point and shoot. large back screen.

Bad:-
No view finder so that when you have a strong back light (like the sun) it is difficult to see the screen.

This camera is an excellent buy and is ready to use straight from the box.

Apart from its expensive classy look, with sleek design and a good sized camera too, the picture quality is fantastic as well as the video recorder function on this camera.

Many cameras of similar functions and design are 3/4 times the price of this, and of course with it being Olympus, you are guaranteed quality.

The camera comes equipped with a usb cable and other accesories, which makes it so easy to take a picture and load it straight onto your computer in minutes.

I would highly recommend this camera for quality, features, design and excellent value for money.
