Olympus FE-140 Digital Camera

I am a keen hobby - actually professionally trained - photographer and already own a sophisticated digital camera with a range of lenses and accessories. I like to have a camera with me whereever I go and it is not always convenient to carry my main one due to its size, so I needed a small, light-weight camera that I could use without much thought in situations where I didn't want to to be loaded down with a lot of kit. The Olympus fills that need admirably.

It fits in a pocket, can be used on "auto" without thinking about technical details and takes good quality images in quite a wide range of conditions. Of course it is not as versatile as the pro camera but sometimes compromises are necessary.

The only things I can think of that would improve it are an eye-level viewfinder and a wider choice of apertures but at the price I paid it was a really good buy.

This is a lovely little camera, I have had several olympus film type but this is my second digital, the first was a toshiba pdr-2300 which is a very good camera but only 2 mega pixels so I was looking for a higher rated 6 or 8 mega preferably a more compact one like credit card size. But with a limit on price I was outbid on several & when this olympus appeared I bid & purchased a bargain refurbished but you would not know it from new. I can certainly recommend this as a good middle range camera.Stan Sutton

absolutely superb digital camera from Olympus. Easy to use and understand and packed with terrific features that allow you to edit your photographs to suit you.
ideal as a starter in to digital cameras or if like me you want just a few more pixels to enhance your images.
choice of shooting and flash modes for all occaisions, and a wonderfully big screen to view your images make this a perfect partner for you and your pictures.

I needed one, it was a good price. It arrived within the time scale aspected and all was ok with it, therefore, I'm very hapy with it.
