Olympus DM-20 (128 MB, 44.5 Hours) Handheld Digital Voice Recorder

Not only is this a digital voice recorder but it also doubles as an MP3 player. In both modes it performs excellently. As a voice recorder the number of functions and settings are well above average and the sensitivity of this recorder and replay quality are amazing. It is light and very compact but with its metal construction it also gives a very robust feeling. As an MP3 player again the sound quality is excellent and with the multi file options finding and organizing your music is effortless. The only complaint I would make about the DM-20 is that there is no on/off power switch, which would preserve battery life, and the record button on the side can be inadvertantly hit thus powering up the recorder again using battery life, however, there is an audio tone which announces recording, Overall these are minor niggles with an excellent recorder and I would still give it a 10 out of 10 recommendation.
